Headteacher's Welcome
Dear Parents and Carers,
It is with great pride, that I welcome you to our school website. As Headteacher, I feel truly privileged to lead such a warm, faith-filled Catholic school community, rooted in Gospel values and guided by the principles of Catholic Social Teaching. Our mission is at the heart of everything we do: we walk, learn, love and smile together with Jesus every day, nurturing happy, confident children who are encouraged to live life to the full in His love (John 10:10).
Our school is a large, four-form entry Catholic Infant and Nursery School located in Walton, North Liverpool, serving a diverse and vibrant community. Every day, I am inspired by the joy, curiosity and kindness of our children, and by the dedication and care shown by our staff. Our school is a place where children are truly known, valued and loved, and where their dignity as children of God is recognised and celebrated. We are deeply committed to giving every child the very best start to their educational journey, enabling them to flourish academically, spiritually, socially and emotionally, and preparing them confidently for the next stage of their learning.
Inspired by Catholic Social Teaching, we strive to be a community built on love, dignity, solidarity and the common good. We actively promote an inclusive and nurturing ethos where everyone feels welcomed, respected and supported. Our children are encouraged to develop compassion, a sense of responsibility and a spirit of service, helping them to understand how they can make a positive difference within their families, our school, our parish and the wider community.
I firmly believe that strong partnerships between home and school are essential. We recognise parents and carers as the first and most important educators of their children, and I am committed to working closely with you to ensure the very best outcomes for every child. Throughout the year, there are many opportunities for you to engage with school life, discuss your child’s progress, take part in shared activities and contribute your time, skills and support to our school family, all of which are greatly valued.
High attendance and punctuality are also central to helping children thrive. As a school community, we place great importance on ensuring every child attends school regularly and on time when they are well enough to do so. We work closely with families to offer support, remove barriers where possible, and provide appropriate challenge where needed, recognising the strong link between attendance, wellbeing and achievement.
If you would like to discuss any aspect of the information on this website, or if you require a paper copy of any documents, please do not hesitate to contact our school office. We are always happy to support you and work alongside you as part of our shared mission.
Kind regards
Mrs Jennings
